Since 1935 our family owned and managed mills have been converting local grains into quality flour, corn meal, baking mixes and feed. We carefully mill each small batch of grain using time-honored milling practices. You won’t find the mega-batches our competitors churn out at our mills, only the highest quality baking and feed products in the South! While many of our competitors have merged with larger food conglomerates, Midstate Mills continues the tradition of small-batch milling with locally sourced grains just footsteps from the town square in Newton, North Carolina.

When our founder, G.D. Drum, purchased the former Mocksville mill in 1948, Midstate Mills, Inc. began a long history of producing quality animal feeds for both the commercial and retail channels. For over 60 years, family owned and operated Midstate Mills, Inc. has been a regional leader in the commercial feed business. Today, Midstate Mills, Inc. continues its legacy of supporting the local community and agricultural businesses by sourcing its grains primarily from local farmers. The result is a high quality but affordable feed produced at our mill in Newton, North Carolina.
