HUSH PUPPIES

2 cups Tenda Bake® Self-Rising Corn Meal Mix

6 Tbls. chopped onion

3/4 cups buttermilk

1 egg


1. To corn meal mix, add chopped onion, then milk and egg.

2. Drop by spoonfuls into deep hot fat heated to 375 degrees.

3. Hushpuppies will rise to top and may be turned once for even browning.

4. When golden brown, remove to paper towels to drain excess fat.
